Updated 14 September 2026, 10:00 UTC. The maintenance ran later and longer than the posted hour: Valve’s player count fell to about 34,000 at 08:27 UTC and was back above 130,000 by 09:38 UTC, so the window was roughly 08:27–09:38 UTC. BULKHEAD has not posted patch notes beyond the 12 September announcement; community trackers report the patch as delivered with the announced scope — Community and Official browser tabs, join by server ID, the one-week 5% End of Match cash bonus on community servers, exploit bans, more server capacity in Asia — and nothing extra. Everything below is the announcement as published; if a notes post appears, this page will change.
WARDOGS is going down for roughly an hour on 14 September 2026 to deliver Patch 0.11, a server browser rework that also comes with a one-week community server cash bonus and a hard new set of rules on economy exploits and XP farming. This guide breaks down exactly when the maintenance hits your timezone, what actually changed in the browser, and what the studio has said will get an account permanently banned.
TL;DR
- Servers went down for the patch on Monday 14 September 2026 — observed 08:27–09:38 UTC against a posted 08:00 UTC, one-hour window — and are back.
- For one week, community servers pay a bonus 5% End of Match cash on top of the normal payout.
- The server browser is now split into separate Community and Official tabs with different filters, search and naming rules.
- BULKHEAD laid out three ban tiers for economy abuse, with XP farming servers carrying a permanent ban after just a few minutes.
- Six more community server features are planned but have no release date yet.
When Was the WARDOGS Maintenance on 14 September, and How Long Did It Take?
The maintenance window was posted for Monday 14 September 2026 at 08:00 UTC, approximately 1 hour, in the official Patch 0.11 post on Steam; in practice the servers emptied at about 08:27 UTC and refilled by 09:38 UTC (Valve player-count feed). BULKHEAD framed the downtime as necessary to ship the server browser rework, and paired the announcement with a thank-you to players: “Thank you for helping us hit 400,000 Peak Concurrent Users.” That WARDOGS milestone lands just days after the game’s 10 September Early Access launch on Steam.
The post included a full regional breakdown so nobody has to do timezone math mid-patch. Here are the key zones pulled straight from that table:
If your region isn’t listed here, the official Patch 0.11 announcement has the complete table, including Mexico City, Brazil, Southeast Asia, China, Taiwan, Australia and New Zealand.
| Region | Local start time, Monday 14 Sept |
|---|---|
| US Pacific (PDT) | 01:00 |
| US Eastern (EDT) | 04:00 |
| UK | 09:00 |
| Central Europe (CEST) | 10:00 |
| Eastern Europe / Moscow (MSK) | 11:00 |
| Korea, Japan | 17:00 |
Players short on time can put WARDOGS boosting alongside a normal playthrough rather than in place of one.
What Does Patch 0.11 Actually Change?
Two things matter here: the money, and the browser. On the money side, BULKHEAD is apologising for what it called an underserved Community Server experience with a temporary payout bump. “for the next week community servers will offer a bonus 5% End of Match cash bonus,” and the studio’s own suggestion was blunt: “if you’re looking to grind, we suggest jumping in a community server.” The post does not say what the baseline End of Match cash figure is, so the 5% is a bonus on top of whatever a match already pays — for the actual dollar amounts behind that economy, the WARDOGS money guide breaks down what a match typically earns and where that cash is best spent on a loadout buy order.
On the browser side, the front end is now split into two separate lists. Here’s what changed, item by item, straight from the patch notes:
Six more requested features are described as “not yet ready but are in the pipeline,” with no release date attached: Community server favouriting, tiered priority queues for Community servers, a Message of The Day prompt, improved warmup activities, disabling AFK kicks during seeding, and team switching controls. The post is explicit that none of this affects Season 2 content, which is being worked on separately.
| Was | Now, in Patch 0.11 |
|---|---|
| One mixed server browser | Split into two browsers, Community and Official |
| Filters applied to Official Servers | Filters removed from Official, since there are no Official modified game modes |
| Community Server filtering was unreliable | Improved reliability of filtering in Community Servers |
| No text search on Community browser | Text based search added to Community Servers |
| Community Server IDs wiped on map change or restart | IDs now persist between matches and restarts, though the ID string is longer for security reasons |
| No quick way to hide full or empty lobbies | Show Empty/Full added to the browser quick bar |
| Server names could use unlimited spacing, no set order | Names sort alphabetically regardless of special characters, and no more than one consecutive space is allowed |
What the New Economy-Abuse Rules Mean for XP Farming and Grinding

BULKHEAD used the same post to lay out how it will punish players who exploit the cash economy, and split the response into three distinct tiers rather than one blanket rule.
Tier 1: Abusing a cash exploit or bug
The studio said it will respond with a timed ban whose length depends on prior offenses, and “We will reset your cash and XP to 0″ for the offending account.
Tier 2: Making content that teaches the exploit
Posting a guide or video that tutorialises an economy exploit without reporting it first is treated as advertising cheats, and “will result in a permanent ban.” BULKHEAD drew a line between alerting the studio to a bug and actively promoting how to abuse it.
Tier 3: Joining a known XP farming server
“This will result in the most serious bans.” The post says the studio tracks every server an account enters and already knows which ones are being run purely to farm XP: “we will ban your account permanently” if a player is tracked joining one of those servers for more than a few minutes.
Warning
The line between safe and account-ending is repetition, not discovery. BULKHEAD’s own wording: “If you figure something out and test it once or twice, no biggy.” Doing it once is treated as QA help. Doing it repeatedly on a server the backend has already flagged as an XP farm is a permanent ban, and there’s no stated appeal path or ban-length range for that tier.
Nothing in the post defines exactly which servers count as XP farming servers beyond “servers we track,” and there’s no confirmed list of specific exploits that have been patched. What is confirmed is the time window on the other, legitimate option: the +5% community server bonus only runs for the one week following this 12 September post, so if the goal is faster progress toward the higher tiers on the Season 1 XP curve, that bonus period is the entire confirmed opportunity. The post says nothing about what happens to community server payouts after the week is up.
Other Fixes and What's Still Coming
The rest of Patch 0.11 is a short list: “Various cash exploits have been fixed,” “More GPU crashes addressed,” and server capacity in the Asian region has been increased to handle demand from that region. That capacity bump follows the launch numbers that pushed WARDOGS to the peak concurrent player counts covered after Closed Beta 2, which the studio says have since climbed to 400,000.
Our Take: Are WARDOGS' Anti-Farming Bans Too Harsh?
Our Take
Permanent bans for XP farming sound severe until you remember the economy is shared across the whole playerbase.
By our reading, a cash-and-XP economy that ties into a wider meta only works if the numbers behind it stay honest, and a three-tier system that separates an honest bug report from repeated abuse is a reasonable way to enforce that without punishing people who stumble onto something once. What this actually changes for anyone trying to level up is simple: the safe path is normal matches, official or community, not hunting for a server built to exploit the payout loop. The one-week community cash bonus is the sanctioned shortcut here, not a workaround.
