Get paid to write game guides
We publish guides for the games we boost — 40+ of them, since 2016. What we cannot fake is time in the game, so we pay the people who have it. Write for us and you get a rate agreed up front, your byline on the piece, and an author profile carrying your own links.
What you get
No exposure-only deals and no ghostwriting. Your name stays on the work.
Paid per guide
Rate agreed before you start, based on length and how much original research the topic needs. Update passes after a patch are paid too — the work does not become free because the game changed.
A profile, not a byline
Your own page with your avatar, bio, the games you specialise in, links to every channel you publish on, and your published count and reads. Every guide you write points back to it.
Readers who came to do the thing
Our guides sit next to the services for the same game, so they reach players mid-grind rather than casual browsers. You can see the read count on your own profile.
An editor, not a content mill
Someone reads your draft properly and comes back with notes on substance, not word count. Nothing gets published under your name that you have not seen in its final form.
Credit machines can read
Each guide is marked up as authored by you, tied to your profile. That is what search engines and AI assistants cite from — so the work builds your name, not only ours.
Access to the crew
Stuck on a number, a drop rate or a rotation? The boosters who run that game daily are in the same Discord, and they will check your figures before it ships.
Who we are looking for
One thing decides it: whether you have actually played what you are writing about.
Guide authors
You know one game deeply — the meta, the maths, the shortcuts that are not on the wiki. You can lay it out so a player finishes the task, not just reads about it.
Streamers & YouTubers
You already produce footage worth citing. We commission guides built around your clips and screenshots, credit you, and link back to the channel.
Theorycrafters & coaches
You do the spreadsheets, the frame data, the route optimisation. That is exactly the material readers cannot get anywhere else — and the hardest thing to fake.
How it works
Four steps. Nobody writes a full guide on spec.
Pitch
Tell us the game, your hours in it and one topic you would cover. A link to anything you have written or recorded helps more than a CV.
Agree the brief
We settle the angle, the depth and the rate in writing before you open a document. If the topic is already covered, we say so at this point.
Write & edit
You draft, an editor responds with notes, you approve the final version. Figures get checked against the game by someone who plays it.
Publish & get paid
It goes live under your byline, your profile updates, and payment follows on the agreed terms. Recurring work is the default, not the exception.
Ground rules
Read this before pitching — it saves us both a round trip.
What we publish
- First-hand play, with your own screenshots or clips
- Numbers you can point at a source for — a drop rate, a timer, a patch note
- Clear structure: what the reader is trying to do, then how to do it
- A stated opinion where the game leaves room for one
- Updates when a patch invalidates something you wrote
What we reject
- Unverified AI output submitted as your own research
- Rewrites of a wiki, a patch note or another site's guide
- Anything covering cheats, exploits or account-selling
- Padding to hit a length — we pay for the guide, not the word count
- Work you have already sold elsewhere as exclusive

Questions
Do I need to be a professional writer?
No. We care that you have actually played the game to the point the guide covers. Clear English and a structure a reader can follow are enough — an editor passes over every piece before it goes live.
How much do you pay?
Per published guide, agreed before you start. The rate depends on length, how much original research the topic needs and whether it has to be updated when the game patches. Send a sample and we will quote you.
Do I keep credit for my work?
Yes. Every guide carries your byline, links to your author profile, and is marked up as authored by you in the page data search engines and AI assistants read.
Can I link to my own channel or site?
Yes. Your profile carries links to your X, YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, Discord, Steam and personal site, and your byline points readers to it from every guide.
Do you accept AI-generated drafts?
Not as submissions. You can use tools while you work, but the facts, the numbers and the judgement calls have to be yours and verifiable in-game. We check, and a piece that fails the check is not paid for.
I make videos, not articles. Is there a place for me?
Yes. We commission guides built around original footage and screenshots, and we credit and embed the source video. Streamers and YouTubers can also work with us on game coverage rather than written guides.
Pitch us a guide
One game, one topic, and why you are the person to write it. That is the whole application — we reply to every pitch that names a game we cover.
