Currency Wars is a permanent Honkai: Star Rail mode unlocked at Trailblaze Level 21. Its reward systems serve different goals: seasonal Ascension rewards, shared weekly points, Deep Immersifiers for Ornament Extraction and Fuel Vouchers for Quick Farm. This guide explains the differences and what to claim before the outgoing Zero-Sum Game season ends on 11 November 2026 at 06:00 (UTC+8).
TL;DR
- Unlock Currency Wars at Trailblaze Level 21. The recommended Penacony mission is not listed as a mandatory entry condition.
- Since Version 4.2, Currency Wars and Simulated Universe use a merged weekly points track. Currency Wars Ascension progression is a separate track.
- Fuel Vouchers skip eligible Calyx and Stagnant Shadow battles while still consuming Trailblaze Power: 1 voucher per 10 Power. They do not grant free Power.
- The Zero-Sum Game season ends on 11 November 2026, 06:00 (UTC+8). Claim its seasonal rewards before the cutoff.
- Currency Wars continues with Voyage Into the Canvas in Version 4.7; this is a season transition, not permanent removal of the mode.
Choose the correct service option
Currency Wars Ascension progress comes from Currency Wars; the shared weekly points track is different. On the linked configurator, the Currency Wars option is $23.49 and lists Jade rewards plus Level 80. The $11.19 starting price is for Divergent Universe. Level 80 is the service target, not the season’s maximum Ascension Level. Confirm the exact rewards and remaining seasonal time before ordering.
Simulated Universe
Worlds, Swarm Disaster and Gold and Gears cleared for Ability Points, Herta Bonds and relic farming.
What Is Currency Wars in Honkai: Star Rail?
Currency Wars: Zero-Sum Game is gameplay that HoYoverse added in Version 3.7 on 5 Nov 2025, and the notice lists it as permanently available after that update. The entry requirement is Trailblaze Level 21 or above, and the notice recommends finishing the Trailblaze Mission “Penacony — Stranger in a Strange Land” first. Inside the Interastral Peace Guide, the old Simulated Universe tab was renamed Cosmic Strife and a Currency Wars tab was added for checking progress and taking part. Players care because the mode feeds other systems: Deep Immersifiers speed up Planar Ornament farming and Fuel Vouchers speed up Calyx and Stagnant Shadow farming. Since 3.7 it also counts toward the Daily Training mission.
| Item or system | What it does | Where it is used |
|---|---|---|
| Deep Immersifier | Gets Planar Ornaments without combat | Interastral Peace Guide › Survival Index › Ornament Extraction |
| Fuel Voucher | Shows Quick Farm entrances for materials | Calyx and Stagnant Shadow stages |
| Daily Training mission | Reads Complete 1 Divergent Universe or Currency Wars | Interastral Peace Guide |
| Cosmic Strife tab | The renamed Simulated Universe tab | Interastral Peace Guide |
If the grind is the only part worth skipping, Honkai Star Rail boosting runs the same route on your own account.
Where to Get Fuel Vouchers and Deep Immersifiers
The Version 3.7 update identifies Currency Wars as a source of Deep Immersifiers and Fuel Vouchers, while also mentioning other sources for Fuel Vouchers without listing them. Its general rewards include Variable Dice and Self-Modeling Resin.
Keep two progression systems separate. Ascension Level rewards are earned within Currency Wars; the official 4.4 expansion notice names Stellar Jade and Self-Modeling Resin among them. Shared Accumulated Points are the weekly track merged with Simulated Universe in 4.2. Progress on that shared track is not evidence that your Currency Wars Ascension Level increased.
Outgoing season: claim rewards in time
The official Zero-Sum Game ending notice and infographic set the cutoff at 11 November 2026, 06:00 (UTC+8). They identify Bond Link, Data Bank, Ascension Level and Expected Profit among the sections being reset. Check and claim those seasonal rewards before the deadline. The infographic also announces Voyage Into the Canvas for Version 4.7.
| Source | What you get | Requirement | Who it suits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Currency Wars play | Variable Dice, Self-Modeling Resin, other rewards | Trailblaze Level 21 or above | Anyone starting the mode |
| Currency Wars play | Deep Immersifiers, Fuel Vouchers | Trailblaze Level 21 or above | Planar Ornament and Calyx farmers |
| Ascension Levels | Self-Modeling Resins, Stellar Jades, more | Raise Ascension Level in the mode | Long-run players |
| Merged weekly points | Reward types listed by a community guide | Any of three modes, per Game8 | Players who rotate modes |
Step-by-Step: Starting Currency Wars and Spending Its Rewards
-
1
Reach Trailblaze Level 21
The mode requires Trailblaze Level 21 or above, and the notice recommends clearing "Penacony — Stranger in a Strange Land" first.
-
2
Open the Currency Wars tab
Use the tab added to the Interastral Peace Guide in 3.7 to check progress and take part.
-
3
Complete Currency Wars once for Daily Training
The mission reads "Complete 1 Divergent Universe or Currency Wars".
-
4
Spend Deep Immersifiers
Use them at Interastral Peace Guide › Survival Index › Ornament Extraction to get Planar Ornaments without combat.
-
5
Spend Fuel Vouchers through Quick Farm
Quick Farm entrances appear after you obtain a voucher, and each 10 Trailblaze Power consumed requires 1 Fuel Voucher.
How Weekly Points Work Since Version 4.2
The official 4.2 update merged Currency Wars Points and Simulated Universe Points and restored a weekly rotation after the initial five-day transition period. The old alternating fortnightly schedule from 3.7 is historical, not the schedule to use for current weekly planning.
For the current week, check the shared Accumulated Points screen, finish the remaining threshold and claim its rewards once. Do not treat it as two separate full weekly reward tracks. The 4.6 update also describes clearing the reward reminders across Divergent Universe and Currency Wars after all weekly Accumulated Point Rewards are claimed.
This guide does not verify the current weekly item quantities or thresholds in the game client. Read the live reward panel for Fuel Voucher and Deep Immersifier counts; do not substitute a whole-season total for a weekly allowance.
About the level service below: the displayed $0.11 starting value is the configurator’s TL1 → TL2 example. Reaching TL21 is priced for your selected current-to-target range; it does not buy Currency Wars Ascension Levels.
Trailblaze Level
Trailblaze Level raised on your account from your current level to the one you pick.
Which Currency Wars Method Fits Your Goal
No source we checked measures points per run or run length, so the table is ordered by goal, not by speed.
| You want | What to run | What it feeds | Where to check |
|---|---|---|---|
| Daily Training done | Currency Wars or Divergent Universe, once | Daily Training mission | Interastral Peace Guide |
| Deep Immersifiers | Currency Wars | Ornament Extraction | Survival Index tab |
| Fuel Vouchers | Currency Wars or other means | Quick Farm, 1 voucher per 10 TP | Quick Farm entrances |
| Weekly merged points | Currency Wars, Simulated Universe, Divergent Universe | Merged weekly track | Currency Wars tab shows progress |
| Ascension Levels | Currency Wars, with Double Ascension Points in 4.6 | Ascension track | Currency Wars tab |
Ascension Levels: Verified Caps and Double Points

The official 4.4 Currency Wars expansion notice dates its update to 15 July 2026 and raises the Ascension cap to 170 and the maximum rank to A8 Wealth Creator 50. These are the values announced for that expansion; check the current game panel before treating a historical cap as a new-season target.
Version 4.6 introduced Double Ascension Points to speed up this seasonal progression. That does not establish a fixed number of runs or hours for your account: your existing level, points already earned, available rewards and match results matter. Use the remaining points shown in the Ascension panel rather than an unverified 170 × 800 calculation.
Prioritize unclaimed Ascension rewards and the seasonal collection sections shown in the ending notice. Keep the weekly points checklist separate. A voucher total also is not free stamina: Quick Farm still consumes your own Trailblaze Power.
| Verified milestone | Announced value | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Ascension Level cap in the 4.4 expansion | 170 | Official 4.4 expansion notice; 15 July 2026 |
| Maximum rank in the 4.4 expansion | A8 Wealth Creator 50 | Official 4.4 expansion notice; 15 July 2026 |
Currency Wars Rewards and What You Unlock
Ascension rewards versus weekly rewards
These are separate reward tracks with separate progress counters and reset rules. Claim from each relevant panel, but do not count the same shared weekly reward twice or assume a seasonal total repeats every week.
Deep Immersifier versus Fuel Voucher
Use Deep Immersifiers through Interastral Peace Guide → Survival Index → Ornament Extraction to obtain Planar Ornaments without combat. Use Fuel Vouchers for eligible Calyx or Stagnant Shadow materials through Quick Farm. A Fuel Voucher skips the battle; it still requires 10 Trailblaze Power per voucher used.
| Reward | How you get it | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Variable Dice | Currency Wars reward | Named in the mode's reward line |
| Self-Modeling Resin | Currency Wars reward | Named in the mode's reward line |
| Deep Immersifier | Currency Wars gameplay | Planar Ornaments without combat |
| Fuel Voucher | Currency Wars and other means | Quick Farm for Calyx and Stagnant Shadow |
| Stellar Jades, Self-Modeling Resins | Ascension Level rewards | Paid out as you level up |
| Tracks of Destiny, Star Rail Passes | Named in the end-of-season post | Claim before the 11 Nov cutoff |
Our Take: Is Currency Wars Worth It?
Use Currency Wars for the rewards you still need, with seasonal and weekly goals kept separate.
For routine play, check the shared weekly rewards and the Daily Training task. Before 11 November 2026 at 06:00 (UTC+8), review unclaimed Zero-Sum Game seasonal rewards. Do not chase a generic completion timer or assume every account still has the full reward total available.
Next season: Voyage Into the Canvas is officially confirmed for Version 4.7 in the ending infographic. HoYoverse also published its official highlights-page announcement on 30 October 2026. This guide’s Zero-Sum Game caps and seasonal rewards should not be carried into that season without checking its rules.
