Modern Warfare 4 DMZ boosting
DMZ is the third pillar of Modern Warfare 4 alongside Campaign and Multiplayer, and Activision describes it as Call of Duty's definitive extraction shooter. It ships with the game on 23 October. This is where the largest part of our Modern Warfare 4 catalogue will live, because it is the mode with progression that persists between matches.
What DMZ actually is
You deploy into Hajin, an exclusion zone in a tri-point region bordering Russia and the Korean peninsula, left saturated with abandoned military technology after the events of the Campaign. You play a shadow CIA asset securing that technology before hostile forces do. Rogue Operators and enemy combatants are both active, so every squad decides when to cooperate, when to fight and when to disappear.
Why services cluster here
Unlike Multiplayer, DMZ keeps what you build. A Forward Operating Base upgrades over time, weapons carry condition and variants, crafting and looting feed a persistent stash, and there are recovery features for what you lose. Progression that survives between matches is progression worth buying.
What will be listed at launch
Story Missions, Dynamic Operations and Side Ops; FOB upgrades; extractions and gear recovery; weapon unlocks and crafting; high-value target contracts; and the DMZ camo track, which is separate from the Multiplayer one.
Why nothing is priced yet
Because our players have not spent hours in the live mode. A price set from a blog post rather than from played runs is a guess, and a guess in an extraction shooter is how a service ends up unable to deliver.
