The Division 2: Echoes of Central Park is scheduled for 3 November 2026, according to Ubisoft’s announcement. Ubisoft calls it “the darkest, most disturbing DLC yet”. This preview sticks to what Ubisoft and the official store pages confirm: the date and price, the map, who can play, the three companions, and how the endgame is described. It ends with what Ubisoft hasn’t said yet.

Echoes of Central Park Release Date and Pre-Order Bonus
According to Ubisoft’s Steam announcement of 24 September, The Division 2: Echoes of Central Park is coming on November 3. Pre-ordering it on Steam gets you the NY Purifier Mask when the DLC launches. The post gives no time of day. On US Steam the DLC is listed at $19.99 and the Deluxe DLC at $29.99; both require The Division 2. The Ubisoft.com version of the same announcement lists more platforms than the Steam post: PlayStation, Xbox, and PC via the Ubisoft Store, Steam, and the Epic Games Store, and adds that you can also play it with a Ubisoft+ subscription. The DLC was first shown at Gamescom 2026, and a dedicated showcase followed on 24 September.
Players short on time can put Boosting de The Division 2 alongside a normal playthrough rather than in place of one.
Echoes of Central Park Story and Map: Central Park and the Upper West Side

For the first time in The Division 2, the story is told as a flashback: a narrator guides you through her version of events. It’s set in the summer after Warlords of New York. Ubisoft’s premise is a city gripped by paranoia, where rumours become truth, and there’s talk of a new virus variant. The park was originally used as a mass burial ground during the outbreak. The last known presence in the park has gone silent, and a new apex threat has moved in, lurking in the shadows.
The map includes Central Park and the Upper West Side from Lincoln Square to the Dakota District. You’ll start in the Upper West Side, where the park has grown past its old boundaries and taken back the streets. Ubisoft’s wording on size is “much larger than Battle for Brooklyn”; “twice the size” in some coverage is not an official figure.
Who Can Play: Solo vs Co-op and the Level 40 Boost
You’ll be able to play Echoes of Central Park solo or in co-op. If your character is below Level 40, you’ll get a boost that lets you start the DLC immediately. The store listings describe the boost as including a 50 stash space increase, which the Steam post doesn’t mention. Other entry requirements are not stated in the Steam announcement.
If you’re coming back to the game before November, our returning player guide for Red Horizon and the Dark Zone covers what’s live today. Right now that’s Year 8 Season 3, Red Horizon, which started on 27 August 2026, plus the Red Moon Rising event that TU Y8S3.1 added to the PvE Dark Zone on 23 September.
Incursión Broken Rain
Broken Rain is the incursion running in Year 8 Season 3 right now. A flawless clear on your account, with the loot rules we cover in our Broken Rain guide.
Echoes of Central Park Companions: Brayleigh, Elwood and Morse
Three reluctant heroes will fight alongside you, but first you have to help them “confront their inner demons and find their courage again”. When you replay missions, you can assign a different companion, and Ubisoft says each one reacts to situations differently. The Deluxe Edition adds outfits inspired by the three companions and a skin for the new exotic weapon. The console store listings name these as the Brayleigh, Elwood and Morse Outfits plus a skin for The Ratel.
The announcement doesn’t describe the companions’ abilities or what their support does in combat, so it’s too early to say which one is best.
| Companion | Role | Background (per Ubisoft) | Deluxe cosmetic |
|---|---|---|---|
| Brayleigh Callahan | Sniper | MIT graduate and Olympic shooting medallist | Brayleigh Outfit |
| Elwood Franklin | Protector | Former mall cop who wants to become an NYPD officer | Elwood Outfit |
| Morse Feeney | Assault | Rugged veteran, former first-wave Division agent with a mysterious past | Morse Outfit |
Echoes of Central Park Endgame and Rewards: From Hunted Prey to Hunter

Ubisoft describes this in two stages, and they shouldn’t be merged.
First entry. When you first enter Central Park, you’re “hunted prey with no GPS”, facing a constant flood of enemies. You learn more about the threat and collect gear until you become the hunter, with more control over how you take on the challenges ahead.
After the main campaign. Ubisoft presents the park as somewhere to return “again and again after you finish the main campaign”. How well you do in encounters matters: do well and you get exclusive rewards, do badly and you carry a disadvantage forward. The announcement doesn’t say whether later runs start without GPS again, or how rewards and disadvantages are counted.
Six new skill variants
You earn these by defeating the forces in Central Park. Only two have been named so far: the Corrosive Trap and the Gas Bomber.
The Ratel exotic weapon
The Ratel is a new Exotic Weapon, and Deluxe owners get a skin for it.
A new gear set
The announcement confirms a new gear set but doesn’t give its name.
Ubisoft hasn’t given a campaign length or any numbers for the endgame, so there’s no honest hour count yet.
What Ubisoft Hasn’t Said Yet
Neither the announcement nor the store pages state any of the following:
- Launch time on 3 November
- Prices outside the US storefront quoted above
- Whether later endgame runs start without GPS again
- How your current gear and progression carry into the DLC’s endgame
- The gear set’s name and bonuses
- The Ratel’s talent
- The other four skill variants besides the Corrosive Trap and Gas Bomber
- Any numbers behind the endgame rewards and disadvantages
The reveal video and gameplay stream from 24 September may show more.

Our Take: Is Echoes of Central Park Worth Watching?
Nuestra opinión
The endgame loop is the part to watch. The companions are the part to wait on.
A first entry with no GPS and an endgame where encounter results carry forward is a real structural change for The Division 2, not just a new map. Whether it holds up long term depends on numbers Ubisoft hasn’t shared yet.
Until the companions’ kits, the gear set and The Ratel’s talent are public, any ranking or buy verdict would be a guess. The facts to judge it on are the ones listed above.
