Premier rating climbs, sold per thousand points. Premier is the only rating in CS2 that carries a number rather than a badge, which makes it the one people actually compare.
Sold per thousand for a reason
Rating gains are not linear: the same thousand points costs far more at 20,000 than at 10,000. Pricing by band reflects that instead of pretending the ladder is flat.
Rating is per season
Premier resets, and the rating you finish with is not the rating you start the next season on. Ordering early in a season buys more time at the number than ordering late.
