Palworld 1.0 dropped on July 10, 2026, and Pocketpair added 72 new Pals—47 brand-new species and 25 elemental variants—pushing the roster to 287. The update also introduced Sunreach sky islands, the World Tree region, the Awakening and Mutation systems, and a level cap of 80. This guide ranks the strongest new arrivals for combat and base work, tells you exactly where to find them, and covers the breeding combos you need to fill out your roster.
En resumen
- New Level 8 base workers—Solenne (Handiwork 8), Renjishi (Kindling 8), Aegidron (Mining 8), Dandilord (multi-role)—outclass most Early Access Pals for production.
- Most new Pals spawn in Sunreach or the World Tree; you need a flying mount and completed tower bosses to reach them.
- Mutation is the new RNG layer: a random chance for bred Pals to hatch with boosted stats and a unique passive.
- Breeding fundamentals remain: Breeding Farm at Tech Level 19, one male/one female, plus Cake in the farm chest.
- Use a 1.0 calculator—old combo lists are outdated after the roster expansion reshuffled breeding-power values.

What Are the New Pals in Palworld 1.0?
Palworld 1.0 expands the Paldex by 72 creatures: 47 entirely new species and 25 elemental variants of existing Pals. That includes 47 brand-new species and 25 elemental variants, making this the biggest roster expansion the game has received so far. The new additions are concentrated in Sunreach—the floating sky-island region—and the World Tree, a late-game zone that unlocks after you beat every main tower boss.
Standouts like Solenne (Level 8 Handiwork), Renjishi (Level 8 Kindling), and Aegidron (Level 8 Mining) push work suitability well past the old Level 4 ceiling, while Dandilord combines top-tier Planting with excellent Medicine and Handiwork, making it one of the most versatile workers introduced in the update. Combat entries include Xenolord, a new Dark-type legendary that sits among the hardest Pals to breed but rewards the investment with raid-tier stats. The elemental variants—Ignis, Cryst, Noct, Lux, Terra, Botan, and Primo forms—give new coverage options and breeding chains without being entirely new species.

Where to Catch the Best New Pals in Palworld 1.0
Most of the roster is stapled to two new zones: the Sunreach floating islands and the World Tree, and the World Tree in particular is locked behind beating every main tower boss first. Sunreach is accessible earlier and sprawls across multiple sky islands; you need a flying mount or the new Wing Pack glider to navigate it safely. Our Sunreach and World Tree map guide covers fast-travel points and safe landing spots.
The early-map Pals can be found on the original map or new small islands, while most of the stronger additions are locked behind Sunreach and the World Tree. Pals like Pupperai, Clovee, Amione, and Muffly spawn near the starting zones—no story gate required—and offer useful Partner Skills that buff your base early. Wispaw spawns only at night and boosts capture rate on a wild Pal when you’re awarded a Back Bonus. Silvance, one of the endgame highlights, appears as a boss at the bottom of the World Tree map. The zone table below shows how to get into each area and what spawns there.

Where to Find All New Pals in Palworld 1.0
Beyond Sunreach and the World Tree, 1.0 added 7 new small islands with three distinct biomes—volcano, desert, and ruins—and each island holds Pals you can only encounter there. Sunreach itself also brings new tower bosses and ores that can only be mined with specialized equipment.
To reach Sunreach, defeat Bjorn and Bastigor, the Feybreak Tower Boss, in the southwestern part of the map at coordinates -1294, -1669. Beating them opens an Altar southwest of the tower; interact with it to travel up to the islands.
| Zone | How to Get In | What Spawns There |
|---|---|---|
| Sunreach (floating islands) | Defeat Bjorn and Bastigor (Feybreak Tower Boss), then use the Altar southwest of the tower | Many of the new Pals, new tower bosses, and ores that need specialized equipment |
| World Tree | Beat every main tower boss | Most of the new Legendary Pals and high-tier Raid Bosses; Silvance as a boss at the bottom of the map |
| 7 new small islands (volcano, desert, ruins) | Found by exploring the expanded Palpagos map | Island-exclusive Pals, including some of the more accessible early-to-mid catches |
Catching Methods for New Pals
| Method | Why It Works |
|---|---|
| Higher-tier Pal Spheres | Many 1.0 Pals live in mid-to-endgame zones, where basic Spheres have very poor catch rates |
| Type-counter Pals | Ground types (Anubis, Menasting) against Electric Pals like Puffolt; Ice types against Grass Pals like Dualith |
| Partner Skills stay on | Since 1.0, follow-up damage from Partner Skills can no longer finish off a Pal you're trying to catch |
| Island sweeps | Each of the 7 new small islands has exclusive spawns across the volcano, desert, and ruins biomes |
New Pals Tier List: Best for Combat and Base Work
Rankings below reflect the post-launch consensus. Combat placement weighs offensive presence, Partner Skill impact, and element coverage; base-work placement weighs the highest work-suitability level, whether the Pal focuses on one task, and overall uptime. For more detail on how combat tiers work, check our Palworld 1.0 overview.
Consejo
Early in a fresh save, prioritize Clovee and Amione—their Partner Skills raise Gathering and Watering levels across your entire base, which multiplies your workforce before you reach Level 8 specialists.
| Pal | Element | Best Role | Why It Ranks High |
|---|---|---|---|
| Xenolord | Dark | Combat | Legendary-tier stats, high breeding investment but dominates raids. |
| Solenne | Neutral | Base (Handiwork 8) | Fastest crafting Pal in 1.0; speeds up assembly lines. |
| Renjishi | Fire | Base (Kindling 8) | Keeps furnaces and production chains at full speed. |
| Aegidron | Ground | Base (Mining 8) | Best mining specialist; handles Soralite and Paloxite nodes. |
| Dandilord | Grass | Base (multi-role) | Top-tier Planting plus Medicine and Handiwork coverage. |
| Silvance | Grass | Combat / Utility | 40% bonus vs Ivy-covered enemies; World Tree immunity passive. |
| Astralym | unknown variant | Combat | Final boss–linked; top stat ceiling if you can breed it. |
| Panthalus | Water/Dragon | Combat | Strong water coverage for raids; solid Partner Skill. |
| Shaolong | Dragon | Combat | Mid-tier Dragon with accessible catch point in Sunreach. |
| Clovee | Grass/Neutral | Base (support) | +1 Gathering to all base Pals; great early catch. |
New Work Suitability, Partner Skills and Awakening
New Work Suitability Options
The 47 new species add options for every work type. Outside the Level 8 specialists above, Dualith (pre-release codename GrassGolem) stands out as an all-rounder with strong Mining, Planting, Gathering, Lumbering and Transporting—Pocketpair has not published its exact work levels—so it can cover jobs that used to need several different Pals. For power specifically, Puffolt is a small Electric Pal with Generating Electricity, though its exact work level is also unconfirmed.
New Combat Partner Skills and Passives
Partner Skills were revamped alongside the new roster, and 1.0 adds new passives such as Lightfooted (more jumps while riding the Pal), Reload Master (faster player reload) and Ranch Master (+2 Ranch Work Suitability). The new World Tree Passive Skills give very strong bonuses with meaningful drawbacks. A few new species bring mechanics of their own: the Sword Eel transforms into an equipable weapon mid-fight, Dupin can clone other Pals, and Sekhmet is an Egyptian cat counterpart to Anubis aimed at combat builds.
Awakening for New and Old Pals
Awakening lets you strengthen a Pal even further. Gather Radiant Gems hidden in the depths of the World Tree and use them on the Pals you want to awaken. It works on new and existing Pals alike, so your Early Access favorites are not left behind.
Step-by-Step: Building a Breeding Farm and Getting Your First Egg
Sigue estos pasos para hacerlo rápidamente.
-
1
Reach Technology Level 19
This unlocks the Breeding Farm blueprint; spend 2 Technology Points to learn it.
-
2
Craft the Breeding Farm
You need to craft the Breeding Farm using 100 wood, 20 stone, and 50 fiber.
-
3
Assign one male and one female Pal
Place them inside the farm; gender icons appear on each Pal's summary.
-
4
Add Cake to the farm's storage box
Cake is baked at a Cooking Pot (Tech Level 17) from 5 Flour, 8 Red Berries, 7 Milk, 8 Eggs, and 2 Honey.
-
5
Wait for the breeding meter to fill
The pair will eventually produce an egg; the species is determined by hidden breeding-power math.
-
6
Move the egg to an Egg Incubator
Once hatched, the offspring inherits a mix of passives from both parents.
Breeding Combos for the Best 1.0 Pals
Most pairings are decided by a hidden averaging formula—the child’s rarity sits between its two parents—so the useful thing to know is the formula plus the handful of fixed special combos, then a live calculator for the rest. The genuinely new breeding feature in 1.0 is Mutation: a small chance a bred Pal comes out stronger than normal, with better stats and a unique passive.
The tower bosses (Faleris, Shadowbeak, Grizzbolt, Orserk, Lyleen) are now same-species-only, and because 72 new Pals reshuffled the breeding-power order, many classic recipes changed. Old combo lists from Early Access are often wrong; use an updated 1.0 breeding calculator instead. For a deeper look at Awakening and Mutation, see our Awakening and Mutation systems guide.
Anubis (Ground)
Anubis, a Ground Element Pal, can be obtained early in Palworld by breeding Penking and Bushi. Other confirmed pairs include Mossanda + Surfent and Arsox + Quivern. Penking + Bushi is the best early-game route because both parents are available at substantially lower levels than Alpha Anubis. Anubis remains one of the strongest all-rounders with Handiwork Level 4 and Mining Level 3.
Jetragon (Dragon)
Jetragon can be bred Jetragon×Jetragon or via Relaxaurus + Frostallion. It is the fastest flying mount and a top damage dealer; the Aerial Missile Partner Skill was buffed in 1.0.
Elemental Variants (Ignis, Cryst, Noct, etc.)
Ignis, Cryst, Noct, Lux, Terra, Botan, and Primo forms all show up across the updated breeding chart, and many of them can be produced either through a specific parent pairing or by breeding the same variant with itself once you already have it. Self-breeding variants are more efficient long-term since you can focus entirely on passive skill refinement after hatching your first copy.

Advertencia
Old Early-Access combo lists, and even some wikis, still show outdated recipes. 1.0 reshuffled breeding-power values when the 72 new Pals entered the roster—always verify pairings against a calculator built on July 2026 data.
Common Misconceptions About 1.0 Pals and Breeding
“Genetic Recombination” Is a Real System
“Genetic Recombination” is not a real Palworld system—it appears only on spam sites, not in Pocketpair’s patch notes. The new mechanic is Mutation, which gives a small chance for a bred Pal to hatch with higher stats and a unique passive, but it does not let you combine traits from more than two parents.
You Can Breed Tower Bosses with Any Pal
Not anymore. The tower bosses (Faleris, Shadowbeak, Grizzbolt, Orserk, Lyleen) are now same-species-only. You can no longer pair them with off-species Pals to produce hybrids like in Early Access.
Level 8 Workers Make Level 4 Pals Useless
Level 8 specialists like Solenne and Aegidron are exceptional, but they are locked behind late-game catches in the World Tree or Sunreach. For mid-game bases, Level 4 Pals like Anubis and Verdash remain efficient and far easier to breed or catch.
You Need a Fresh Save to Catch the New Pals
You don’t. Existing worlds carry over into 1.0 with no forced wipe, so you keep your bases, Pals and progress, and every new Pal can be caught on an old save. Pocketpair did recommend starting a new save to experience the update from the beginning—you only miss the early story pacing.
New Pals Are Evolutions of Old Ones
They aren’t. Pocketpair has said Pokémon-style evolutions are still not part of the plan; the new Pals are standalone species, and breeding—now alongside Awakening and Mutation—remains the way to get stronger versions of your roster.
Our Take: Is Chasing the New Pals Worth It?
Nuestra opinión
If you care about base efficiency, yes—Level 8 specialists solve bottlenecks you didn’t know you had.
The new roster tilts heavily toward late-game progression. Sunreach and especially the World Tree are gated behind story progress and gear checks, so fresh saves won’t see the best new Pals for many hours. But once you do reach them, Solenne, Renjishi, Aegidron, and Dandilord make crafting and resource pipelines noticeably faster. Combat additions like Xenolord and Silvance require real breeding investment—expect dozens of eggs if you’re chasing ideal passives—but they pull their weight against raid bosses and the new hard-mode Tower fights.
Mutation is the wild card. Pocketpair hasn’t published a mutation rate, so treat it as a pleasant surprise rather than something to farm toward a percentage. The higher-tier cakes improve odds, but there’s no confirmed number to chase. For most players, catching the new species once for the Paldex, then refining the ones you actually use via same-species breeding, is the most practical route.
