Genshin Impact Level 95 and 100 depend on one item, Masterless Stella Fortuna: per HoYoverse’s Version Luna I update details (10 September 2025), 1 takes a Lv. 90 character to Lv. 95, and 2 more take it to Lv. 100, with no additional materials. Below: where the item comes from, what the free “To Temper Thyself and Journey Far” routine costs in time, and who should spend it, as of Version 7.1 (live since 23 September 2026).
En resumen
- Lv. 95 costs 1 Masterless Stella Fortuna and Lv. 100 costs 2 more, so 3 in total per character.
- Getting it and spending it are separate: C6 is needed on the 5-star whose extra Stella Fortuna you receive, while the Masterless item itself can go on any Lv. 90 character.
- The item drops when you acquire a Stella Fortuna for a 5-star already at Constellation Level 6: from a Wish, the Anniversary standard 5-star pick or the event; Luna I also issued some for earlier maxed 5-stars.
- The event route is 8 weekly goals for one 5-star Stella Fortuna per cycle of about 12 weeks.
- No stat table for all characters is published; HoYoverse shows one illustrative Lv. 95 to Lv. 100 example.
Mantenimiento semanal
Commissions and Resin done daily (we spend 200; the event needs 120). It cannot skip the 8-week count or give Masterless without a C6 5-star.
What Are Level 95 and 100 in Genshin Impact?
Masterless Stella Fortuna is the item that lets a Lv. 90 character break the level cap, up to Lv. 100, and raise its stats without additional materials. HoYoverse added it in Luna I alongside the existing Constellation system, where a normal Stella Fortuna unlocks a constellation. You spend 1 to raise the ascension limit and level to Lv. 95, then 2 more to go from Lv. 95 to Lv. 100. A community wiki adds that one Masterless Stella Fortuna is not tied to a single character the way a normal Stella Fortuna is, which is our reading of how it behaves in the Inventory.
| Step | What it raises | Masterless needed |
|---|---|---|
| Lv. 90 to Lv. 95 | Ascension limit and level | 1 |
| Lv. 95 to Lv. 100 | Ascension limit and level | 2 |
| Lv. 90 to Lv. 100 in total | Both steps | 3, sum of the rows above |
Where the grind outlasts the interest, Boosting de Genshin Impact picks it up from wherever the account already stands.
Where to Get Masterless Stella Fortuna

Every source works the same way: a Stella Fortuna that arrives for a 5-star already at Constellation Level 6 turns into Masterless Stella Fortuna. That covers extra copies of a maxed 5-star, and it also covers the 5-star Stella Fortuna you redeem in “To Temper Thyself and Journey Far”, which pays out Masterless instead if the character is already maxed. At the Luna I launch, HoYoverse also issued Masterless Stella Fortuna based on how many maxed 5-stars you had obtained in earlier versions, and these were viewable in the Inventory. The Luna I post names no other source. The practical effect is that the item follows 5-stars you have already maxed, so a character at C0 to C5 does not generate any.
| Conseguir | Qué incluye | Requirement | Who it suits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stella Fortuna for a C6 5-star | Masterless Stella Fortuna | 5-star already at C6 | Accounts with maxed 5-stars |
| Wish or Anniversary 5-star pick | Masterless Stella Fortuna | That 5-star already at C6 | Check the event is running |
| Event pick on a C6 5-star | Masterless, not a constellation | Event goals done | Free route, slow |
| Luna I retroactive grant | Amount tied to past maxed 5-stars | Maxed 5-stars from earlier versions | Long-time accounts |
Best Ways to Get Masterless Stella Fortuna
These are not ranked by speed, because no per-hour measurement exists for any of them in the sources we read; the table lists the condition and limit of each instead.
On timing: the Luna I post gives only the first event cycle, 2025/09/10 to 2025/12/01. Community trackers list the current cycle 5 as 10 August 2026 to 2 November 2026, with a Season 6 listed from 2 November 2026 to 25 January 2027. Per HoYoverse’s Version 7.0 update details, Stella Fortuna for Lyney, Wriothesley, Navia, Xianyun, Chiori, Sigewinne, Clorinde, Emilie and Yumemizuki Mizuki was added to the selection. Our reading: if cycle 5 does end on 2 November 2026 as listed, a player who starts in its final weeks cannot reach 8 weekly goals in it, so the next cycle is the realistic start.
The cost in time: one Stella Fortuna from the event means 8 weekly goals of 5 daily goals each, so 40 daily goals and at least 4,800 Original Resin (40 × 120). That Resin is spent on your normal activities while you meet the goals; it is not a separate fee. (The 2/5 head start in the Luna I notes applied only to the first week, until 15 September 2025, so it does not cut the count in later cycles.)
The reward unlocks once you have 8 weekly goals, in any 8 of a cycle’s roughly 12 weeks, not at the end of the cycle. A Lv. 100 character needs 3 Masterless, so on the event alone, starting at the beginning of a cycle with no missed weeks and three different eligible 5-stars at C6, the three rewards land around weeks 8, 20 and 32. That is our estimate, not a fixed time: existing progress and items you already hold change it.
| Method | Time cost | Condition | Limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Temper Thyself pick on a C6 5-star | 8 weekly goals; cycle about 12 weeks | AR 14+ and two quests | One Stella per 8 goals |
| Extra copy of a C6 5-star | Depends on your pulls; not measured | 5-star already at C6 | One Masterless each |
| Luna I retroactive grant | Issued at Luna I | Maxed 5-stars from earlier versions | Tied to that launch |
Step-by-Step: The Temper Thyself Routine

Advertencia
Unclaimed selection opportunities do not carry over to the next season, and a character who already got a Stella Fortuna from a past cycle cannot be picked again.
-
1
Check eligibility
The event needs Adventure Rank 14 or higher, the Prologue Act I quest "Knights of Favonius" and the World Quest "Welcome to the Adventurers' Guild"; the Archon Quest order and AR requirements guide covers the quest chain.
-
2
Pick your character
Choose from the character list on the event page, and change the pick any time before the exchange is complete; pick a 5-star you own who is already at C6 if the goal is Masterless Stella Fortuna.
-
3
Clear the daily goals
Claim Daily Commission Rewards 4 times and use a total of 120 Original Resin; the Resin guide on costs and Condensed Resin explains the spending side.
-
4
Hit 5 daily goals a week
Five completed daily goals make the weekly goal.
-
5
Reach 8 weekly goals and exchange
8 weekly goals yield one 5-star Stella Fortuna, which must be exchanged within the season you earned it.
-
6
Spend the Masterless Stella Fortuna
Use 1 on a Lv. 90 character for Lv. 95, then 2 more for Lv. 100; the source gives no menu path.
Mantenimiento diario
Four commissions claimed and Resin spent each day, covering the event’s 120. Weekly limits still apply, and Masterless needs a C6 5-star.
Level 95 and 100 Rewards and What You Unlock
What the stat gain looks like
HoYoverse publishes no stat table for every character. Its explainer of 29 August 2025 shows one illustrative example: base HP 13,061, ATK 822 and DEF 857 at Lv. 95, and 13,510, 859 and 887 at Lv. 100. It is an example for one character, not a rule for all, so check your own character’s stat screen at Lv. 95 before spending the next two.
Is it shared between characters?
The official post says it works on any level 90 character. A community wiki says it can go on 4-star or 5-star characters, and that it is shared rather than locked to one character. The post describes the item as consumed, and it does not say whether a spend can be undone.
| Reward | How you get it | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Lv. 95 | 1 Masterless on a Lv. 90 character | Raises ascension limit and level |
| Lv. 100 | 2 more on a Lv. 95 character | Highest level named in the post |
| Higher stats | Consuming the item | No extra materials asked for |
Common Misconceptions About Level 100
“Level 100 needs new ascension materials”
The post says the cap break works without additional materials. Only the Masterless Stella Fortuna count matters for the 95 and 100 steps.
“Any duplicate 5-star gives Masterless”
The item drops when the Stella Fortuna is for a 5-star already at Constellation Level 6. An extra copy below C6 goes to the constellation instead.
“The event hands out Masterless directly”
The event pays a 5-star Stella Fortuna for the character you picked. You receive Masterless only if that character’s constellations are already maxed.
Our Take: Is Spending Masterless Stella Fortuna Worth It?
Worth it on one main character, not as a plan for a roster.
Three scarce items per character, a free route of one pick per cycle, and no official stat table make Lv. 100 a late, narrow upgrade. Our reading: spend the first one on the character you play most and look at the stat screen at Lv. 95 before committing the next two.
