A Cleaner elite kill squad, 95 Company, can show up during Retaliations.<\/p><h3>Under Pressure is the season modifier<\/h3><p>Instead of a timer, the season runs on a pressure gauge fed by how you fight \u2014 headshots, multi-kills and skill kills push it up, and crossing thresholds turns on stronger bonuses. It rewards staying aggressive rather than holding a corner, which is a real change of habit if your old routine was slow cover play.<\/p><h3>The Dead by Daylight crossover has closed<\/h3><p>The event pass ran from 30 June to 14 July 2026 and progressed through normal season XP, with no separate mode or queue. It has ended; the pass is no longer purchasable. Seasonal content assumes an endgame build; nothing below helps until you are there.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>You have an old build<\/td><td>Open your loadout and read the talent tooltips rather than trusting memory. Check the talents you actually relied on, not the whole sheet.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>You need gear<\/td><td>Set Targeted Loot to the slot you are missing and run the activity it points at. That is faster than farming what you remember being good.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>You want PvP<\/td><td>Learn which variant is live this week. Balanced normalises stats, Blackout does not \u2014 that difference decides whether your build matters.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>You want the story<\/td><td>Start with Red Horizon itself: the Cleaners&#8217; return is the current context, and older seasonal content will still be there afterwards.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><h3>What is actually running this week<\/h3><p>Two things are live right now and both are time-boxed, which makes them the best reason to log in today rather than next month. A Project Chain marking Retaliation&#8217;s first anniversary runs <strong>8 to 22 September<\/strong>, paying materials and caches per project with an Outfit Token at the end. Overlapping it, <strong>Retaliation Surge runs 8 to 15 September<\/strong> and doubles Retaliation Faction Materials from every source. If you are rebuilding a stockpile after months away, that week is worth more than any farming route.<\/p>"},{"acf_fc_layout":"title","heading":"Gear Worth Chasing Right Now","tag":"h2"},{"acf_fc_layout":"text","text":"<p>Two exotics arrived with Red Horizon, and they are the pieces worth knowing about \u2014 not the Into the Dark list you may have read elsewhere.<\/p><h3>Fafnir \u2014 exotic shotgun<\/h3><p>Its Dragon&#8217;s Breath talent fires incendiary shells with a 40% chance to apply Burn per shot, and amplifies weapon damage by 50% of your status effect bonus. Ubisoft adds a caveat worth knowing before you build around it: Burn application still runs into the usual status-effect diminishing returns, so in practice it can land less often than 40% suggests. It is built for the fire-and-status theme this season runs on, which means it wants a build that already stacks status damage rather than one that ignores it.<\/p><h3>Iron Will \u2014 exotic chest<\/h3><p>Resolved makes your next body shot count as a headshot, on a two-second cooldown in PvE and three seconds in PvP. It requires an MMR, rifle or pistol, so it is a talent you build around rather than slot in.<\/p><h3>Determined changed, and Iron Will is why<\/h3><p>This is the single item most likely to break a returning player&#8217;s old build. Determined now works like Perfect Determined: a kill from a converted headshot no longer triggers another guaranteed headshot, so the chain that carried a lot of marksman builds is gone. That functionality did not disappear from the game \u2014 it moved to Iron Will&#8217;s Resolved talent, which is why the exotic exists. If your old loadout leaned on Determined, this is the tooltip to read first.<\/p><h3>Caduceus and the Into the Dark set<\/h3><p>Caduceus, the exotic AR from last season, is still obtainable. With Red Horizon, Ortiz: Reficere, Caduceus and Nurse&#8217;s Kneepads were added to the special loot pool for the PvP Dark Zones \u2014 so they are a farm now rather than a deadline you missed.<\/p><span data-nsx-cta-anchor=\"rebuilding a Division 2 loadout after months away\"><\/span>"},{"acf_fc_layout":"title","heading":"Common Mistakes Returning Players Make","tag":"h2"},{"acf_fc_layout":"text","text":"<p>Most of the friction is not difficulty. There is none, and a stale build feels it immediately<\/li><li>Chasing the 33%\/48% landmark numbers for exotic weapons \u2014 those are components, and only in the PvP variants<\/li><li>Trying to catch up on every missed season at once instead of playing the current one and back-filling later<\/li><\/ul><p>One genuine annoyance: there is no in-game changelog that flags which of <em>your<\/em> items changed in a balance pass, so you find out in a firefight.
