Scrapping your last copy closes that option.

The Library. Extracting a roll destroys the item, and each piece can be recalibrated only once, so an item that is already good in several slots is worth more than any single stored roll.

Duplicates and alternative rolls

Keep at least one good physical piece for every slot your builds use. A stored max roll therefore finishes a good physical item; it does not replace one.

What to store first

Core attributes first: Weapon Damage and Armor rolls. Skill Tier is different: it is a fixed core attribute, and each item that has it adds one Skill Tier, up to six (Ubisoft State of the Game recap), so there is no percentage roll to max; what matters is having it on the right pieces.
